Inspection and Characterization

Besides the various inspection steps that have to be used during the production of a complex quartz component, also a comprehensive final inspection of the finished part following customer specifications must be done. Due to the fact that quartz glass is a unique material, very specific methods and skills are required to enable the proven and stable final inspection.

Among the standard inspection method at Heraeus Quarzglas are:
